Okay, when I first started MHA and saw the broccoli on the screen, I was like: Who is this nerd and how can he be the main character? I found him whiny and edgy. It wasn’t love at first sight.
Second episode? Third and until this point? Midoriya has been my FAVORITE character in all anime and TV shows. I had been a really big fan of another character since I was a kid and he even took his place in my heart. Midoriya has been my sunshine for a long long time. I can recall celebrating his birthday last year. He is the softness I seek to find in life and the reason I can try and still believe in people and human relationships (I am a complete nihilist).
He is a sunshine. His need to save other people, his selflessness and his softness. While being all those, he looks for his own survival and aims at the top. For me, Midoriya is the resemblance of the best person in the world.
There are times that I lose my faith in everything and everyone and times that I am completely hopeless but I try to think of this sunshine boy who is always pushing forward, no matter the situation. Midoriya is the most wondeful character ever written. That’s what I wanted to say.
